Simple Steps is a 501c3 organization established in 2017 in the Bay Area. Our mission is to empower immigrant women to pursue their career aspirations after a hiatus.
Simple Steps understands the unique cultural and professional challenges encountered by immigrant women. We aim to create a community that supports immigrant women and local employers. We help immigrant women continue on their professional goals while contributing to the community. At the same time, we collaborate with local employers who need talents from diverse backgrounds.
Just thinking about your options and working on own can be very exhausting and discouraging. If you share this challenging time with Simple Steps, I believe you can pass through it with a meaningful end-result and friendship.
Prior to working with Simple Steps, I kept thinking that I can’t work again. In my case, I was first suggested to write a resume. Then, I was suggested to apply for a job. Start with small things. Engaging with volunteer activities can be very helpful. Rather than having big plans first, doing it step by step continuously is the most important key.
First of all, I gained assurance and encouragement from a group of women with similar concerns and needs. I realized that I was not alone in this journey. Most importantly, I finally got a job through Simple Steps.
Simple Steps is a great community. I am grateful that I got to work with such a dedicated team.
If you feel like this is something I really want and then you are putting enough effort, believe it or not, the entire universe is helping you.
